Millet made chocolate barfi is a healthy and tasty sweet with millet flour, one of the easy and quick sweet that one can make in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- Millet Flour
- Brown Sugar
- Cocoa Powder
- Butter/ Ghee
- Nuts and Pistachios
Recipe
- Heat ghee in a pan – add millet flour to it
- Roast it in low flame for 5 mins
- Transfer this to a plate and let it cool down
- Add cocoa powder to it and mix well & set aside
- Add brown sugar to the pan
- Add water to it, boil in medium flame
- When it starts to thicken and bubble up well, check for single thread consistency. When a thin string consistency is reached, immediately add the flour cocoa mixture
- Mix well, act quickly keep stirring to avoid lumps. In two minutes, the batter will become thick, add ghee at this stage. The mixture will be thick similar to idly batter consistency
- Mix well and switch off. Immediately, Transfer into a greased plate
- Sprinkle nuts over it
- Freeze it for 10 minutes, now cut chocolate barfi to desired shapes and enjoy!
